MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

To join our community, it’s required that the applicant works in video journalism or the documentary world. He or she must be well-established in his/her field and have already made significant, celebrated work; be actively working on a project or projects (including hands-on producing or managing a video department); and have a desire to share and connect with like-minded creatives to grow and learn, together.

THE GATHERINGS


Gatherings occur once a month, at an always-changing location, both in New York and Los Angeles. Hosted by members of the community, these evenings bring us together to talk shop, chill out, and screen shorts, with informal Q&As from each piece’s creator (usually in person, sometimes via Skype). The vibe is chill; the inspiration is palpable.

THE PRIVATE FORUM


A safe space for members to pose both theoretical and technical questions. Job openings are offered, often before being made public. Congratulations on awards are made; industry articles are posted and discussed.
